Q: I have tons of photos; can you put them onto a DVD?
A:
We can absolutely scan all of your photos and put them onto a compilation DVD. We can create a beautiful montage and customize
it with music, titles, transitions and chapter markers, that will play on both your computer, and DVD! In this day and age, archiving your important photos is a necessity - protecting your priceless
possessions is crucial.
Q: Do we have to be there for our edit session?
A: In most cases,
our clients are able to drop off their projects and give us detailed directions so we can edit their video on our own.
This can be a real time saver for you. We'll put together a 'rough cut' first, then after approval, continue
with the project. Then, you can simply view, and approve!
Q: Can you also make creative recommendations as to
what should be included in our video?
A:
Absolutely! We will gladly offer suggestions as to how to best serve your project. Our design and attention to
the detail of each and every frame in your project is what sets us apart from the others!
Q: What
types of tapes and photos can be submitted for the DVD?
A:All video tapes, films, photos,
slides and documents can be submitted for inclusion in your video. Latour de Force Productions has the capability to convert
photos, documents, VHS, Mini-DV and DVD in our editing suite. Other video and film formats (8mm videotape, Hi-8, digital 8,
BetaMax, BetacamSP, DVCPro, 8mm, Super 8 and 16mm movie film) can be sent to a quality transfer facility.
Q: How much will a video cost?
A: We offer high quality, customizable services at affordable and fair prices. Since all of our projects are
highly customized, after our initial consultation we will be able to calculate a an itemized
estimate for your project. Depending on how long you would like
your video to be, how much footage/pictures you have, and how much editing you will be needing, will factor
into the cost of us delivering a top superior product. It is our goal to complete your project in the shortest time
possible while providing the hightest possible quality. Feel free to call or email for an estimate.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: We use
state of the art, professional audio & video editing suites featuring Apple's Final Cut Studio; Live Type; DVD Studio
Pro; Panasonic mini-DV tape deck; and DAC-200 DV/Analog converter. We also have scanning capabilities for your hard
copy pictures.
Q: Why should I transfer my VHS tapes to DVD?
A: Because, videotapes have only have a 15-20 year shelf-life. They
also have the possibility of being damaged very easily, and, they will soon be phased out completely. Playing tapes
often also reduces their quality, and there's always the risk of taping over your precious memories. Transferring
tapes to DVDs are a guaranteed way to keep your important memories, such as your home movies, or the original tape of your
wedding.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located in New York City, but can accommodate all over the country!
